    Hi 65dlxrev,

    Thanks for responding. I actually went with a PR normal spec PT and OT, and am much happier with how the amp sounds compared to the DR OT. But for a future build, I may do what you're suggesting, since I actually have another chassis and other components. Maybe switch out a DR-powered 'head' for slightly larger rooms with the same amp cab. I'm copying what you posted though because some great info here, and much obliged.

      Thanks for the kind words RC99 and good luck with your pending new build. In followup to my grounding discussion, I suggest taking a look at R.G. Keen's articles posted at the Geofex site and Kevin O'Connor's idea of "galactic grounding" described in his The Ultimate Tone series. Further, J.C. Maillet offers some good stuff re. noise reduction at the Viva Analog site.
