  • What DC Resistance should a Fender twin OT measure?

Hey I'm troubleshooting my OT, an Ultralinear later 70's model from a Silverface Twin, if I measure the resistance of the secondaries I get Grn to Black 00.3ohms, Grn-Yel to Black 00.2ohms and Grn-Yel to Grn is 00.2ohms this seems normal for the output side from what I have read in check on others.

But the primaries seem low? but I have no reference?

    they measure

    Blue to Brown 74.5
    Blue to Blue-Yel 33.9
    Brown to Brown-Yel 31.3
    Brown-Yel to Blue-Yel 9.4

    Red CT to blue 38.1
    Red CT to Brown 36.4

Also TX isn't shorted from primary to secondary I have checked that
All measured with a Fluke 77

    Any help would be great!

    thanks guys!

Why don't you tell us what you are trying to fix. In my daily amp repairs I very seldom find myself measuring resistance of the OT windings.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

      Hi Valvebytes,

the primary readings are perfectly normal for one of these.
And I'm with Enzo: What's the problem with the amp?

      Cheers,
      Albert
