    Incredibly useful post.
Reading and answering some questions about it should be mandatory on *any* hands-on building, servicing or modding Forum
    Thanks.
PS: I have been tickled by as low as 24VDC , when covered in perspiration on a very hot and humid summer working on a basement which should have been labelled "Sauna".
Itīs not a typo, 24 VDC from a storage battery .

      9 volt battery

      What?
Did you not ever test a 9 Volt battery with your tongue when you where a kid?
My take on the links was 12 mas of current can stop your heart.
      Kinda scarey.
At the same time it teaches you to respect electricity.
It must have been a hoot when the first experimenters where messing with this stuff.
      "Hey! What's that smell?"
      "It's o/k. Just my flesh"

I quit tongue testing the things decades ago. My meter is handy.

And there are higher voltage batteries that resemble the 9v ones. You DON'T want to tongue a 45v or 90v battery.
