  • Line 6 MM4 Tact Switches

Anyone know what type (specs, brand) of tactile switches are using in the Line 6 MM4. Mine are going (or maybe it's the relays?) and I am too lazy to pull it all apart again as the problem is intermitent and I am still using it.

When I depress on particualr switch one of 4 things can happen:
    1) The switch works normally, the correct memory setting is selected.
    2) The switch seems to be momentary, setting is momentarily selected, then back to "off"
    3) The wrong memory setting is selected, the one to the right of the switch I am currently pressing.
    4) Nothing happens.

Has anyone with an MM4 or DL4 experienced similar issues? I am hoping it is just the tacts. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

It could just be dirt. We stock the tact switches (though I have never cross-matched them), but we often find that cleaning is all they need. If you can squirt some DeOxIt 5 around the switch button, let it flow in and exercise the switch a few times, you might be able to clean it up.

Do you know if these are membrane switches? Should I be using F5, or D5?

      Thanks.
