        Miniwatt *is* basically Philips Holland, finished locally to be able to be considered "Made in xxxxx" , wherever the plant sits.
        Our own Argentine version was called FAPESA: Holland guts locally mounted inside the glass envelope and air pumped out using basically the same machinery from their tungsten and fluorescent lamp factory.
        I guess it must have been about the same everywhere.

          I've got lots of Australian Miniwatts in my cllection of NOS valves, just waiting for the right project to come along. 6M5 seems to be unique to Australia. The 5AS4 seems to be popular with the 'sniffers.
          It's not microphonic - it's undocumented reverb.
