  • Set Screw Adjustable Slug Size?

Does anyone know off-hand what size & length the adjustable set-screw pole pieces are in say a DiMarzio Super Distortion? I'm looking to make something similar to that. Thanks!

I have an old bobbin with allen head set screws.
I measured with a metric dial caliper.
    Refer to the chart.
    http://www.engineersedge.com/hardwar...ead-sizes1.htm
The diameter appears to be the m5x0.8
The length is .587" or 14.92mm.
They will thread right in a slug bobbin with the .187" hole.
The hex wrench size is 2.5mm

    **Edit Note
Length, may need to be shortened.
I think this bobbin used a 1/4 inch thick ceramic magnet.
So, measure your bobbin and magnet and adjust accordingly.

m5x14 mm if your using the thick ceramic magnet,These will be a little too long when using the thinner .125" magnet (you need them 12mm long)
      or
      #10-32 or #10-24 x9/16" or 1/2"
even I have found some of the 10-32 to be undersized & a little too small
      metric screws fit better IMO
