  • Source or Replacement for Gibson Epiphone Chokes - Epiphone Ensign EA-14RVT

I haven't taken L1 out of the circuit to test it yet, but I'm not getting the 435v to the output tubes. Going into L1 but almost nothing coming out.

Part number is Gibson E-6400, 9966548

    I've attached the schematic.

Anyone have the specifications and/or a source for these?

    Thanks.

you have to consider that if the choke is open, one of the output tubes is shorted or there is another short somewhere causing it to burn...
but you can use a Fender or Hammond choke...

      Thanks for the leads again.

I jumped the gun on this post. It wasn't the choke that was open, the wire from the 435v supply that feeds the output tubes was missing.

I mean completely gone, I looked everywhere for a connection. Amp's playing like a champ now.

Amazing what a night's sleep and fresh coffee will do.

SGM are you in the LA area? I plan to be there this fall. Should buy you dinner, you've come to my rescue several times now.

The wire was missing? That's weird.
I am in beautiful central coastal California.
SLO area is about 200 miles north of LA.
