fuzz/distortion pedal upgrade HELP

Hi, I've been using a EHX Big Muff for a while now and i'm looking into getting a new fuzz pedal, wanted something with a much more piercing sound. I'm still keeping the big muff I just wanted something which doesn't choke so much when playing straight chords. I've been looking at the deucetone duel rat but would like some advice/help before purchasing anything.

The basic BMP structure has much about it that can be easily modded to produce a broader array of sounds.

For example, the Sola Jumbo Tonebedner was nearly identical to a Big Muff but had clipping diodes in only one stage as opposed to the two used in the BMP.

Different issues of the BMP had different emitter-resistor values to produce different intensities.
