I saw one of these for sale at a very reasonable price... was looking for opinions and also if it came in a 2x12 combo

It's not an Ampeg. It's a Chinese imitation.

It's not a Chinese "imitation", as in those "Chinese Gibsons" but an Ampeg made in their Asian plant.
Whick afaik is in Vietnam.
The problem is not the factory coordinates but that cut throat competition has made *all* brands chop costs to the bone.

All newer ampegs are not real ampegs.
They are cheap amps, with the ampeg logo stuck on the grill.
Not anything like a real one. Know the difference.
