  • Line6 Spider III 15 channel switch problem

    Hi.
I have the Spider III 15. The problem is that it works only at "metal" channel. Pushing the buttons of other channels doesn't change anything. Does anyone has the schematic? Is there some reboot technique? Can I reload the SW?
    Thanks.

I believe that the channel switches go through a 14 pin buffer chip, then another one, until they finally reach the main microcontroller.
You would have to test whether or not the switches are sending a signal to the buffers & that the buffer signals are reaching the controller.
If they are & there is still no channel change, then the controller is at fault.
    Or the SRAM.
Line 6 does not supply these parts.

Search online for an owners manual, maybe the manufacture's website. Around the last page there will probably be a master reset sequence. You hold several buttons down and power the amp on. I've picked up a couple of Line 6 amps that were "unrepairable" that I fixed just by simply doing a master reset. You will lose any programing but factory presets.
