    I kinda wish I still had this stuff...

    I ended up using a Vox Pathfinder 15R's preamp into an old Bogen 35(?) power amp. Looked like this:

    It sounded pretty damn good, clean OR dirty.

    My dad & I built one of these when I was about 7 or so. It's a Knight Kit Signal Tracer, which was sold by Allied Electronics at the time. Eventually he fitted it with a 1/4" input jack for my first electric guitar (a Teisco Del Rey). This box had the wickedest fuzz tone I ever heard!
