  • Closest screw & slug alloy to old PAFs?

My old notebook with this information in it has gone missing.

    Thanks!

I don't think that only one alloy was used... also, slugs and screws used different alloys, IIRC.

1018 slugs and 1215 screws do sound good, specially on neck p'ups for clean and early-breakup tones. 1010 slugs and 1018 screws for high-gain on bridge p'ups is an used recipe on "popular" p'ups.

I don't know what is closest to a PAF.
However I like the tone of 1018 slugs, and 1022 screws, with MagneticHold A2 Bar magnets.

Thank you both! I guess I should have expected no consistency in materials given the different magnets and coil wraps.
