  • Bell/Gibson Stereo 30 question

I have a rare Bell Stereo 30 amp (Gibson GA-78) and going to re-cap it and replace the AC cord. Schematic attached.

The power supply is in a separate chassis at the bottom of the amp with a tube socket/port that a harness plugs into coming from the main chassis above.

The original AC line has the black/hot connecting to the PT primary (and pin 2 of the socket) and the white/neutral connecting to pin 3. The green/ground connects to pin 4 which is directly grounded to the chassis.

For the new AC cord wound it be best to run black/hot to pin 3 (thus connects to fuse) and white neutral to the PT primary then just remove the line to pin 2 thus disconnecting that polarity switch above altogether?

Just confirming before I do it this way. Thanks
