Today at a local pawn show i bought a set of duncan distortion pickups (Sh6b and sh6n). They're production floor customs (yellow colour). For only 60 bucks canadian not a bad price.
I noticed however one of them had 6.3k written on the box, and i checked the dc value of it and it was 6.3 kohms. The bridge one was 8.2 kohms. This is exactly half the actual value.
Are they broken? or maybe one of the coils is non functional? or maybe they were requested from seymour duncan in this configuration as they are custom?
They look pretty clean and new otherwise. 5 wire connection too (Black, red, white, green and bare)
