  • Undrilled Wide Range Humbucker Covers

    Folks -

Anyone think I might be able to get a few of these from somewhere?

Otherwise, it may be time to get the vacuum table together for this project...

Does anyone even make anything like that?
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

Well... you'd think that at some stage someone's WRH covers exist in an undrilled state.

Isn't it the offset hole pattern that makes a pickup a Wide Range?
I can't imagine anyone buys them for the way they sound.

I'll admit that Back In The Day I used to mod these things by placing a ferrous bridge across the Cunife mags between the coils. Then, I'd pull the covers, tape them together face to face and, using the holes from one as guides for the other, drill baby drill 'till there were a dozen holes in each. This gave the customer more voicing options...

So, if you see some of these running around and you're a Vintage Type you know who to likely blame for the carnage.
