  • Transistor identification help!

Hey all, need help identifying a transistor, it’s a 3 lead bipolar transistor with the markings aasps at the top and 953 at the bottom just looking for a replacement part number but nothing matching those comes up from my searching.

Can you provide more info? What case style? What is it out of and what circuit? Do you have a schematic and a designation number? It might be easier to determine what it is knowing what it does in the circuit. A picture might help, too.

That (2SA953) was my first guess, but without more info, it's just a guess.

I think that the number is SPS953, Peavey used them in some things. Try looking at the Peavey cross reference sheets.
