just got a new little toy (practice tool)

I just got a Joyo ja-03 It's a little headphone amp that plugs into the guitar jack and has a mix function so you can run a cable from your laptop, phone or mp3 and play along. I like it for taking you tube lessons while sitting with the family. It was less than $10 too.

The Vox Amplugs for $40 are pretty slick, too, but make sure that you can return them if you don't like them. One steel guitar teacher recommended the original bass Amplug for his classes as it produced a very clean signal.

Joyo makes some great stuff for low prices, but then again you don't have to spend much on R&D if you just steal designs...

Can't go wrong for that price. Sounds ok and decent battery life?

I had been trying to pick up little bits of guitar by watching you tube with one headphone on and an unplugged electric on my knee while hanging out with the wife. Then last week I was trying that and having trouble hearing my guitar over the TV. My first thought was to build something, then I quickly found this for almost no $ and free shipping. So far it's perfect
