SOLVED! In-line videos not playing on my Android tablets today...

Anybody else having this problem? I ciick the arrow but nothing happens.

I tried different tablets running Android 4.4.2 and 7.0.1 as well as different vintages of Google Chrome, all with same lack of response with both newly posted and older videos...

Post a couple unresponsive links to check if they work for others.

    Some permissions are Country specific.

FWIW there´s a lot of Music Videos or Movies which show (for me) : "This movie/video is not available in your Area/Zone/Country on Copyright grounds" ... if they are kind ..... otherwise it´s plain "video unavailable" with no further explanations.
I get that a lot with many funny/Political ones which obviously you can see.
    Oh well.

I went to page 1 of Hot Blues Guitar and none of them played.. That was after getting none of the latest videos on the now-closed Pres Trump thread to play.

I suspect it has to do with the forum software and not YouTube. The embedded video acts as a static image with a play button in the middle.

Like I said, all of the embedded videos posted on page 104 of the President Trump thread yesterday as well as all of those of the first page of Terry's thread on Hot Blues Guitar solos. The problem is not with You Tube but the embedding code used here. I have not found a single embedded video that actually plays on my tablets since forum software upgrade or plug-in or whatever has changed here...

Sorry but my ASUS tablet does not support multiple clipboard entries like my Samsung does so I am describing location of links rather than posting them.

Has anybody tried playing any of the thousands of embedded video links in our forum posts today?!? The BBS forum code for embedded videos has changed so as of this time they all appear to be dead and that is if anything appears at all. (Yesterday they appeared as static images with a dead red YouTube play icon in the middle.)

New BBS code for embedded YouTube videos (as of 06.12.2018)
    This is with Angle brackets ( < ) replacing Square brackets ( [ )

FWIW I can play *all* in that page in my cracked screen Tablet (I have to use it with a Mouse and adapter, lost all touch response) BUT on my Notebook running W7, Terry´s last one , Sirius something, showed something like "can´t play it, wrong decoder" ... but on reloading the page it works.
If it helps you in some way .....

It works fine on my desktop running Chromium under TrueOS. Now I'll try it on my old Google tablet (made by Asus).

Probably not the best test since the Chrome browser on the tablet loads the mobile version of the site, but it did play the video just fine.

Thanks!* I was able to get the embedded videos here to play under both Android 4.4.2 and 7.0.1 but only after selecting Request Desktop Site from the Chrome "hamburger" menu. (I run the Full Site from the bottom of the MEF page.)

As for the code inserted from the Insert Video button it changes between the two examples I posted previously*** depending on the Desktop Site setting which seems to me to be a bug in the vBulletin forum software. (The code inserted should be the same regardless of that setting. My guess is that they were experimenting with different codes and forgot to set it back. Hey, shit happens...)

Mystery solved... well, to some extent.
