      Reminds me of the compressor on a Lab Series. I think everyone thinks it is broken their first time. The controkl is a threshold, rather than a depth of effect. So the higher you turn it, the less effect it has.

        Which reminds me of something I like to do. Someone will come to the sound board when I'm mixing and say it's too loud. I'll grab a dead fader (like maybe an unused mono master or something) and slowly turn it down. They'll almost always agree that the volume is much better even though the fader is assigned to absolutely nothing.
