Not unless there's some foreign residue on them, eg beer, contents of an exploded ecap.

For the noise, potential other causes may include a bad tube socket contact, and anything else in the signal chain, especially those that block or carrying dc.
Reports are that modern SM caps may easily be damaged during soldering, good practice is to heatsink their legs when being soldered; perhaps your replacement is now a dud?
