    My objection to them all facing the same way, is....the clamp release on the back row ends up being in the middle of the two rows. I reverse that so the clamp release is at the rear of the amp, then the other row at the front of the amp.

      boxing details shown in service manual Final Assembly dwgs

      It looks like Ampeg used fitted high density foam fitted end pieces to place around the sides of the amp, then slips the heavy beast into a thick corrugated box. I've attached files that show that on pg 3 of each file, from the SVT-CL and SVT-VR.

        Cage nuts: Make sure that they are in the hole side-side, not front-rear. If they are front-rear, they compress and pop out when you slide the chassis into the cabinet. With them side-side this very seldom happens.
