| Anyone subbed KT66's in a BF Bassman?
If so, did the PT tranny keep up? I wouldn't mind doing this for my friend, but he's on welfare, and there's no sense in him spending money if it wouldn't work out. Thanks...................Brian |

KT66s draw 1.3A of filament current, preamp tubes draw 0.3A, so... 1.3 1.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 0.3 ...all adds up to 3.8A of current, you will be fine. It would still make sense to double check that your heater voltages don't drop below 6.2VAC (the acid test). |
