What The F--- All Parts.....

Is anyone else having problems with AllParts products? I asked them for nickel silver tele neck covers and they send brass. I use the undrilled nickel silver bucker covers on my high end weirdo pickups and they just sent plated brass covers that are shorter. They can't tell the diff between nickel silver and plated brass? Do these guys even know anything about pickup parts? They charged me the same price for the brass shit as they did the nickel silver covers, come on, something wrong down there in Texas.....

:-)

Yeah they sure don't have their shit together, they sell wood bucker covers but no pix, so I asked them about 4 months ago why no pix; they said they would have pix "next year." It takes 6 months to take a picture of a humbucker cover and put it on the web? If I ran my website that way I'd be out of business. But you gotta give 'em a break, they are in Texas, they are heavy supporters of President Bush, not the smartest buncha cookies in the jar for sure........

What makes you think they support Bush just because they are in Texas? Please leave your political remarks in the off-topic areas.

I rang AllTwats UK yesterday for some Strat covers. They are on back order. What the F*@k? Doesn't anyone else use them enough to justify stocking them? I asked them how business was and they said it was a bit slow. no bloody wonder !

Also, I'd just like to say, there are plenty of opinions on this forum unrelated to pickups so whilst I may not hold the same opinion as Possum, I haven't got a problem with it. Politics effects all our lives so what's the big issue?

Allparts had the worst website for the longest time... just embarrassing. The new one is almost as bad. It looks a bit better, but is poorly coded, and doesn't work all that well. The sad part is they used a web design firm!

Bartolini is another one.

You would really think in this day and age that a decent website would be a priority...

AllParts screws up almost every order that I place. The orders that aren't messed up are 50% back-ordered (which I don't usually find out about until I get the shipment).

Alex has sold Guitar Jones to his nephew in LA. Wonder what that's gonna be like?!? It's the only place that I've found to get f-spaced and 7-string HB parts...

I think it's a case of starting to make money then getting lazy , you see it all the time in all types of business , soon as there's money being made they don't give a fuck and get blase about their customers , as was said on here before you have to make as much yourself as you can , I'm off OS next year hopefully I can get something organised . Just orderd some formvar , I wanted a 5lb roll , what did I get ? 3 part rolls of 3 year old wire .

AP website

sorry about the political remark but then again, not sorry, I'm voting those guys out of there :-)

I would hardly call the company that did AllParts site a web design firm. My wife and I have been doing web sites and design since '94 and the company AP used made some of the worst decisions and mistakes I have ever seen. first and biggest mistake they made was to take down a full functiong website that already existed and was making money for them before the new site was even started. Then they put up an unfinished incredibly buggy website that never should have seen the light of day. You just don't put up a new website until its finished and debugged, I just couldn't believe that actually did that, its unheard of in the industry. Their website is still bugggy, they don't have pictures of more than half their products and they don't seem to care. Their email support last 6 months has gone to hell, they don't confirm orders, they didn't respond to my complaint about being sent different parts etc. The news about Alex is really bad news, I hope they don't start over again and forget who we all are.............

Angry

I've been blaming the local distributor of ALLPARTS in the Philippines for not knowing what guitar parts to stock. Now, after hearing your complaints I'm thinking maybe the problem does not lie in their doorsteps. What can you expect from the distributor if the Head Office is in shitsville?

They're not that bad..

Compared to some of the other suppliers in the MI business, Allparts is like a dream! Opening a box from Musicorp is like Christmas, if Santa was drunk and hard of hearing.
