    Revere reel-reel (Extra 6V6)

I converted a Revere reel-reel recorder to guitar amp and sounds great! It is single ended with a 5Y3, 12AX7 and two 6V6's although it will play just fine with one 6V6. What was the second 6V6 for?

Are the 6V6s in parallel? That is it works with one removed. Does it still work with the other removed? If the two are in totally separate circuits, then perhaps the extra one is an oscillator for the record head bias.

    Question

Thanks for the response Enzo, the first 6V6 has to be in to play and the second 6V6 does not matter. Also I have no schematic. So should I leave the second tube in or out? Concerned if running without second tube can put more voltage elsewhere. Not a pro here! See my confused face? I may be able to add a push/pull OT later and utilize both tubes. Thanks for your advice, Rayme
