| Rivera chubster and JJ 6V6's
Thought I'd share this "mod". Few weeks back I decided to swap out the EL34's in my Chubster with JJ 6V6's. I havent looked back since! They biased up without modification. To match the impedance closer I swapped in a 16 ohm speaker too. Fatter, smoother distortion when pushed while lowering the volume a tad. Warmer less aggresive (in a good way) overall. This amp sdeemed difficult to dial in before but now its all good. Probably the biggest change Ive gotten from a tube swap. Thats all-Bob
