| Question
Hi all. New to tube amps so heres a question, the answer to which is probably a simple one. What are the meanings of the different terms 5E3 etc? Sorry to appear a little thick but would like to know. Many Thanks. |

These are the circuit names for a given Fender amp. A fender tweed deluxe may have the 5b3, 5c3, 5d3, or the 5e3 circuit with 5e3 being by far the most common. It's just more precise to name a circuit than an amp model. Take a look at my site: http://ampedia.redbeartrading.com. Look at the various Fender amps' pages. You'll see at the bottom the circuit numbers, which you can click on to see the circuit schematics.
