Adding effects rack to old Peavey amp

I have an old Peavey XR-700 amp/mixer and I am adding a Lexicon MX200 effects rack. I have it set for mono using two cables. The MX200 documentation talks about a mono/stereo setting but I don't know which jack to connect a 2nd cable to. I am new to this stuff and I can get more detail if you need it.
