Fender princeton 112 plus blowing fuses??

Hi all,this is my first post. hope someone can help the amp was running fine, then at a gig, i was running a POD 2 through the clean channel,when i swiched the pod2 for a distorted sound the amp went dead switching it off and back on again and it was ok on a clean tone from the pod2 but when a distorted sound was selected fron the pod2 again it cut out again. iv tested the pod2 with another amp[roland vga5] and all is ok. so left it alone for a while,then pluged a strat straight into the amp,turned up the volume and i could here it very faint. then it blue the fuse on the pc board. replaced it a few times after checking for shorts and any lose wires. but still blowing the fuse. HELP!!! thanks in advance.

I would start with testing the power transistors or test to see if any of the diodes opened up or shorted

Hi Jam, thanks for getting back to me.Im not totally sure how top test the transistors or diodes, do i have to de-solder them from the board to test? also what do i set my meter to? and how will i know if thay are not working? do you know the values i should get if thay are blowen? sorry for all the questions, but iv never done this before and a wee bit of no-how would save me loads of money by fixing it my self. thanks Jam, hope you can help.

use the above schematic. Its the 112 plus model but it should be similar

Your meter should have a diode setting looks like a line and a arrow. You will use that for transistors and diodes You should de solder to test right but I would try to test them normal first to see if you see anything shorted before you de-solder . On power transistors their are three legs try different legs . The schematic posted should help you alot too . Make sure you unplug your amp when you test on this part

Hi its been a while since i looked at this amp..... would any one be able to point out on schematic what diodes to test and what i should set my meter to and what values i should get.and what readings i should expect for the transistors too. Thanks. Stevie.
