Need advice on what Weber to get

    Hi

I am new here. Happy Easter and greetings from Sydney Australia.

We are planning to buy a Marshall DSL100 or TSL100 for my son. Speakers will be an Orange PPC212 (120W) or longer term possibly a Marshall 1960A (300W). Obviously for home practice lower volume is required.

Weber's advice seems to be to use an attenuator with a higher rating than the amp's output. So would a 100W model be enough or should we go for a 150W?

And any advice / opinion re Weber vs other attenuators (the Tube Cube has also caught my eye).

    Thanks for the help.

Go higher. And also, rather than spend a bunch on a 412, get a 112 with a bigger cabinet. One single 12 will be louder than you might think. An attenuator will wear tubes out faster, and you would do better with less speakers.
