| alnico 8 magnet
How would this sound in comparison to an alnico 5, or a ceramic? Has anyone used one of these before?

A lot more output, and bass and mids, no scoop, Alnico 2-like top end. It's a viable alternative to ceramic for higher output pu's in cases where the ceramic still sounds a little harsh.

Imeo, a cross between the A2 & A5 w/a bit of compression.

I would say it's like an A2 on steroids.
