Hi Regis, wrong Hall of Fame - (I quote);

"chet atkins, charlie daniels and me are being inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville, Tenn. in the fall...

this is not the hoaky rr hall of fame thing....that is controlled by the record companies...

this induction is voted upon by the 90,000+ members of the musicians union throughout the country... it is my ''PEERS''

this is the highest respected honor one could ever ask for.....

keep playing.... dick"

(at least on the face of it I think it was from him, I sent an email to the addy on his website with a picture of my stand alone reverb with a question about how come Madonna was in the HoF and he wasn't, and I got this reply, so I guess it was from him)

Finally! Congrats, Dick!
Any Hall of Fame or award show should be of recognition from piers ONLY. Industry leaders should have nothing to with who we think Musician (in this case) are. After seeing the re-broadcast of the 2006 World Music Awards to honor Michael Jackson - WOW! What a stinker that was! Music? Did you catch the opening number with Beyonce? What a joke! I had the sound off, and it looked real embarrassing with performers 'dancing' around, striking ridiculous poses. Talent? The entire show was about 'performance' of music and much too little to do with music itself, which also sucked. Any noted musician would sing their praises though, because it means aligning themselves for a gig with a 'Superstar' and other people favoring them.
