| Lipstick problem
Hi,sorry my english is bad,i have a danelectro guitar,the bridge pickup is broken,no continuity,how i open the metal cover? I dont know how to acces to the coil to see the wire,i plan to rewinding,thanks for your help

I think that this: Can a coil be wrapped around a bar magnet with little risk of breaking? might give you a pretty decent idea of how it works |

Thanks peter,very instructive,but my first problem is how disassembling the cover,i try but the two half is very tight!

If it is a modern Danelectro, then the pickup is epoxied together, so good luck getting the pickup apart. I have a modern Danelectro from 1999 that I bought new. The stock pickups sounded lousy, and I upgraded to some custom shop Seymour Duncans, and sold the stock pickups rather than try to rewind them to make them sound better. I haven't regretted my decision at all. Greg |
