Fender Deluxe power transformer

I am currently restoring an old Fender blackface Deluxe nonreverb guitar amp. I am undoing the mods and restoring it back to original specs. The power transformer seems stock but just has short bare copper wires sticking out of it. These wires are then connected to white wires to run to the various parts of the amp. Therefore I can only assume that it is wired correctly since there are no colored wires to identify the leads.

BTW it is model AB763.

This amp uses a separate bias winding on the power transformer but I can not locate it. What should I do?

You should get a new transformer. Bare wires sticking out of it could be REALLY dangerous. No way to know for sure how far down the the insulation is off, so heat-shrinking them and hoping for the best isn't a safe bet either.

To get a new transformer wired right, you'll need a schematic and a multi-meter. I got lucky replacing mine because I bought a used tranny from an identical Bandmaster and it was obvious where the wires went due to their lengths, so you might luck out if you find a vintage power transformer somewhere.

I got a new transformer and in the process of installing it. I don't know what the old transformer was....possibly NOT from a Deluxe.
