| Anyone use Antek toroids?
Specifically their PTs? They are amazingly cheap, with a 200VA 300-0-300 (400mA) 2 x 6.3v/4A unit being $45 delivered! Their OTs are few and less cheap (no 8K! They are not 1U flat but look well made, they even sell welded potting cans! their 400VA units would be nice in my planned ~800v bench supply, and only $50... |

I have two builds with them, I like them. I don't like that both of mine were advertised having two 6 volt windings and in reality had a 6 and a 12- but it doesn't matter. They're so heavy-duty that it doesn't matter- I just used the single 6 volt winding with no ill effects. Ed at TST amps uses them and likes them and there are others here that have used them- I'll have to check my messages and see who I was talking to about them. jamie |
