| Transformer for DI box
Does anyone have a favorite transformer to use in a DI box for isolation? I'm working on an FX switcher with multiple outputs and I want to isolate the grounds between amplifiers.

I like the Jensen JT-11-YMPC. It's the least expensive in the Jensen line, 1:1, willl fit in a Hammond box, low insertion loss, maximum output of 8dBV is way plenty for guitar signals. Feed it with a FET buffer, and away we go.

i use the Weber WBALUN transformer.https://taweber.powweb.com/store/balun.jpg they are only a cpl bucks and I usually tack one or two on to my list when I order from them. I used to put them on amps I built that had multiple secondary taps on the OT, but now I've started putting them into my speaker cabs so that no matter what amp I plug one of my speaker in to I have a DI out. I replace R1 in his schemo with a 100k lin pot@ 2W as a coarse adjustment and use the 1kA as a level adjustment. |

I went there first and missed that one - thanks. It looks pretty robust. Nice size. I wonder about the -2dB at 80 Hz. It might be ideal, actually. I need one of Ted's alnico 12's anyway, so I'll tack one on.
