| Magnatone M9 running a 2x12 cab....
I have a magnatone M9 that I want to use to run a 2x12 cab with the internal speakers disconnected. The M9 has a 16 ohm 15" oxford speaker and an 8 ohm 4" speaker. Should I load the 2x12 cab with a 16 AND an 8 ohm speaker? I've attached the schematic if that helps....

The 8 ohm speaker has a 4uf cap in series. This will block(Roll Off) bass to that speaker. Thus, it's actual effect will be less than a direct connected 8 ohm speaker. You should use two 8 ohm speakers in series for a total of 16 ohms which is the same as the transformer driving the speakers.
