| 5C1 Power Resistors
The parts list I have specifies 2-500ohm 10watt power resistors........can 5 watt resistors be SAFELY used????? Those 10 watt resistors are HUGE!!!!! Thanks. |

5W will be fine for both resistors. Likely voltage drop accross both will be in the region of 20-30vdc @ <60mA, allowing for relatively high B+, therefore 30v*30v= 900. 900/500ohms = 1.8W dissipation.
