| Bewildering Array of Choices
I've been perusing the latest Musician's Friend catalog. I haven't looked at one of these for a couple of years. I was stunned by how much gear is available now. Brands I've never seen before. I can't imagine starting out today & having to sift through all of this. I got out a piece of paper and starting counting. The November 2009 Musician's Friend catalog has (by my count): 279 Electric Guitars 143 Electric Guitar Amps 242 Electric Guitar Pedals   This does not include: Acoustic guitars or their amps & processors Bass guitars or their amps & processors Rack mount gear Switching only pedals Speaker Cabs
