| guitar tone ?
hello, my guitar only has a 1vol 1tone i looked at the original wire diagram and it had a .022 mfd capacitor it is missing now, what would this do for the tone pot? would there be something better to replace it with a different type or value or should i just get what was originally there? also the vol pot does not decrease in vol smoothly (a little at a time) it decreases quickly.any suggestions? thx for your reply's fret Last edited by fretboard12; 01-22-2010 at 02:43 AM. |

| Guitar Tone Control
Tone control on a guitar is basically a misnomer. The simplest form is actually a Treble Cut. The capacitor (.022) that is missing is part of the circuit along with the potentiometer. Exploring Tone Controls - Premier Guitar |
