turn sidechain fx-loop to an insert fx loop

    hi,

i love the insert fx loop on my marshall dsl 50 and peavey winsor heads..

with the possibility to insert a mastervolume to controll the overall loudness of these amps and crank the preamp volume (for breakup overdrive) and to finetune my amps with an eq-pedal in the loop..

without shooting my neighbours to the moon!

i have a laney lionheart head with a sidechain fx-loop and no fx-mix knob..

has anybody a clue how to do that??

    thanks for your help

    olli

    Looking at the manual,
    http://www.laney.co.uk/manuals/L20H%...ssue%201.2.pdf
you would just need to lift 1 resistor to make it a series rather than parallel fx loop, but without the schematic it's difficult to be more specific over the web.
Can't you get close using the 'drive volume' and 'tone' control?

    hi,

thanks a lot for your reply...
i already found out from a guy who already did the lionheart fx mod that you have to remove the r28 resistor..

drive volume...you mean the drive down and the drive volume and tone up??
no...that would be still way too loud and the clean channel would be too bright..
