| reverb tank change
hi everyone. i have a brand new vox ac-15 reissue and the reverb tank sounds pretty bad. from what i've read online i've determined that there is nothing defective with my amp--the ac-15's just have a cheap tank in them. so i want to put the tank from a silver twin i have, a 73 i believe. what do i need to do to make sure that the electrical requirements, etc. are being met?

Check out this link: http://members.tripod.com/~roymal/accutron.htm You want to make sure that the tnak will physically fit, that the input impedance matches and that the output impedance matches - I doubt that you have a tank that uses a lock or is mounted in a funny orientation. Your Fender tank should be a 4AB3C1B so if you've got the same designation on the Vox tank you're removing then they should swap fine. Rob |
