    Complete Noob

Noob on the board, noob in the electronics department.

But I've been a player for almost 40 years. I have a 100% stock 97 LP Custom that I might be 'tweaking' soon. Living in NE PA and 'between jobs' right now, so soon might be a bit of a stretch.

I'm a computer geek but never got into the electronic side of anything. But I have a good friend who manufactures pickups and a part time gig at his shop doing piecework. He's great about sharing his knowledge, but I'm the type to want to know everything. I have a steep learning curve, but I look forward to learning from all of you!

    Welcome!
    I'm a noob too.
My weapons are a 1974 LP Deluxe, 1999 Strat, 1990 P-bass, 2004 Ovation, and a home made guitar that looks like an M-16.
My wife has a 70's vintage Strat (PINK!), a hand made spainish, year unknown, and an Ovation just like mine.
Power is from 60's era Deluxe reverb, 70's era Studio bass, and 3 home made amps from 30 to 150 watts.
Both Fender amps have been modified. The bass amp (200 watt, all tube) has improved high frequency response and reverb. When I play my Les Paul through it, the sound is just wonderful.
My ex has a body like Venus.
Big, round, and surrounded by noxious gases.

    Welcome Noobs.
Buy a cheap guitar to Mod.
Please don't mess around on those wonderful vintage Pieces you mentioned above.
On Vintage American made Guitars, IMO If it Aint Broke don't Fix it!
    Rock On!
