I'm new to guitar amp modifications and have a limited understanding of Ohms and Watts. Please help. My Peavey Audition Chorus Amp's speakers are blown. They are 6" speakers. The manual says these are 8ohm speakers and the amp is 10 watts. I want to replace the 2-6" speakers with one 8" speaker. What wattage and Ohm speaker do I need to run both sides of the amp to the one 8" speaker? I've attached a link to the amp's manual with specs and wire diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you want to do that to a Stereo Chorus amplifier?
From the block diagram it is apparent that there are two distinct output sections in this amplifier.
So basically what you are saying is that you want to bridge the two output sections.
My gut reaction is "No Way" are you going to safely pull this off by simply connecting the wires to one speaker.
But then again, I have been known to be wrong
To be sure, why don't you call Peavey Tech Support & ask them.
Your guts are fine. This is not just an amp with two speakers, like a Fender Twin or something. This is a true stereo amp, with two power amps, one per speaker. The whole point of this amp is that it is a chorusing amp. That means the two channels play different signals into their respective speakers. This makes a much more convincing effect than just mixing in chorus effect with dry signal in a mono amp.
Ther is no realistic way to connect both channels to one speaker on this amp.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
