Bridge Rectifier

I have made a Bridge Rectifier, but I have never bought one before. There are 4 symbols :
(1) +
(1) -
(2) ~
Do I hook up my transformer leads to the two ~
Hook up the - to the filter cap ground lug
Hook up the + to the filter cap positive lug
