What a great looking little amp!
I got to build one of these kits a few weeks ago and I was amazed at how much soul & tone this little amp has. It comes complete (except speaker & cabinet) for a mere $215, which I think is pretty cheap. I didn't use the provoded chassis because it looked like a Heath Kit mono block, and is hard to comefortably transport. So I built mine in a Hammond type 1444-18 (13.5x5x2) chassis and mounted it in a cabinet I built in 2000 but wasn't using. I added a MOD (Jensen) 10-35 speaker and it is a killer combination.
Here's the link to my build review and a video clip that shows how versatile this little amp is:

Thanks for the kind words.
I built the actual cabinet 10 years ago, I've had about 5 amps in that cabinet. I added the plexiglass back because I like to use it as a teaching aid, it's so simple and easily relates the the schematic.
I think it sounds pretty awsome too. I like it better than 5f1 or 5F2 or the Tweed era Gibsons.
