Instant notification not working?

Hi Tboy,

In the past few threads I have replied to I have not been notified via email even though I have that option set in my profile. In the subscribed threads section of my profile whenever I enter into it none of the threads have "instant notification" checked. If I check them the checks are gone when I back out and return. Not sure if I doing something wrong or not.

Also, a comment: Is there a reason the quick reply box doesnt work when you want to reply to a thread? It would be a useful tool if it could be turned on.

Also, I miss the old "Music Electronics" section from the old Ampage, is there a reason it wasn't included in the new board?

I think I know what happened about the instant notification thing.... I left my email running at home while I'm at work. I'll check when I get home.

Is there a reason the quick reply box doesnt work when you want to reply to a thread? It would be a useful tool if it could be turned on.

It does turn on when you click the quick reply icon at the bottom right of the post you want to reply to; otherwise the software has no way to know who you are replying to. That's the price we pay for having a threaded forum structure, rather than the more common "linear" structure where you just add your two cents on at the bottom.

Yes, but I'll yak about that some other time. I guess we do still need a catch-all forum, for things that may not fit into an existing category, so it's been added.
