| unresponsive speaker
I have a speaker that isnt responding, what might be the problem. I'm not sure of the history. The cone is bad, no dustcap so I assume the cone is bad. I'm just wondering what possible problems the speaker could have.

unresponsive in what way? Put a meter on it, is the coil open? if the coil reads at close to the rated impedance, I would suspect a dropped voice coil, or perhaps the coil is wedged in the gap due to being dropped, or a bent frame. We need more info.
