Interresting...
This is what I measured on a GJ 50mm humbucker cover (pdf attachement) but I'm not sure of the radius since I have no tool for measuring it.

I'm thinking about having some made.
What should the specs be?

id suggest you guys get one big order, or one person get them and sell them reasonably to people on these forums. small batches are expensive due to tooling up for things like this.
yeah, maybe get a comparison between the price per unit for a small amount and a larger amount that will satisfy you guys for a while. im making my covers from offcuts from guitars that im making, whichi think will look good as it will match the guitar (it will be inside a pickguard so it wont look that plain)
you'll probably pay no less than $700 to $800 minimum for tooling costs.
Smaller minimum quantities are cool for us small guys. But each unit will cost more. Cost per unit will drop significantly as quantities purchased increases.
I think they might be reasonable on the quote at good quantity but I bet where the price will jump is having the screw pole holes put in, and plating too. If someone here bought and paid for a good quantity and sold them to the rest I'd be shocked....how many times have I heard that idea here....![]()

why not just drill them yourselves, i guess some of you guys are making many and it would take a long time on all of them, but you could easily get a block of wood that fits in the inside and drill the holes where you want them then use that as a guide for all of them...
It is a 2 draw process.!! 2 tooling charges
Copper Flash? Thats from those Cheap GJ covers.....There's no problem plating N.S., if it is prepared properly beforhand. Too time consuming for bigger companys to pay for labor to finish properly.
