Do you mean type of switch, such as rotary, slide, toggle, or the switch rating?
hello,
Was looking to switch between 4 ohms and 8 ohms (for speaker input) on output transformer on my new build. what type of switch would be best for that idea?

like a carling spdt? 4 or 8 ohms left or right etc....
how about dpdt switch. toggle. would that be the right choice? on-off-on?
You don't want on-off-on. You don't want to leave the output not loaded, so no need for an off position. A SPDT would work on-on (4-8)
is there a best example of how to wire it inline w/ the speaker jack and external jack? like for a fender ab763 example?

Music Man amp had 4 8 ohm switching and two jacks.
thanks for the help.
