Here's a tune from the blues jam last night

Here's a slow blues from last night- I play the first guitar solo starting at 3 minutes and 40 seconds, using the "Hubert Sumlin" position in my Sup'rStrat wiring harness:

The "Hubert Sumlin" linkage has the neck and bridge pickups in series, in parallel with the middle pickup.

Ummm... that is a guy singing the song- I don't think I had met him before. But if you want to hear some good singing check out the tunes listed as "Petars" in the folder linked below:

http://www.blueguitar.org/new/mp3/jams/

That's Tia Carroll singing- she just won the West Coast Blues Hall Of Fame Female Blues Vocalist Of The Year award and was nominated for "Best Traditional Blues Artist Of The Year" by the Jus Blues Music Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been singing with Jimmy McCracklin for about 12 years.

P.S. I forgot to mention that it was a Fuchs Overdrive Special I was playing... the jam master had bought it used and sent it to Andy for a full rebuild.

LOL. Sorry I meant the person yakking away in the background apparently selling CDs(?) or something, not the singer.

Oh, that was Dolly Rappaport. Here's a tune she did last week, with Mathieu playing the Robben Ford-ish guitar and Russell shredding it up:

Here's her website:

thx, I'm surprised you didn't notice. She was talking all over your guitar solo Steve!

there was a bit of one song on her myspace page I heard and she does have a great voice but it didn't seem like the material was that great (IMO).

In that case, I guess I need to talk to Vinnie, the jam master from Brooklyn with Mafia connections and she will soon be sleeping with the fishies! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!

Talk over my guitar solo and you will live (very briefly) to regret it!
